Select Garage Doors Warranty Information
Select Garage Doors Ltd provides a limited warranty against proven manufacturing and material defects from the date of purchase. Valid warranty claims will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
Select Garage Doors are manufactured to the highest quality and care standards and do not leave the factory until fully inspected by quality control. In the unlikely event that you need to make a claim you should contact the original distributor or supplier of the product who will make the claim on your behalf. Warranties will only be considered with proof of purchase and supporting documentation and photographic evidence. If a site inspection is required by Select Garage doors and it is deemed that the fault was not caused by a fault with manufacturing you will be liable for the cost of the callout.
What is covered:
- 5 year warranty on structural integrity of the door panel and frame
- 5 year safe and reliable operation for up to 5 open and closes per day
- 5 year corrosion of the panel material
- 2 years on moving parts including hinges, handles, lifting gear
- 5 year warranty on the paint finish
Operating gear
All products must be installed in accordance with installation instructions. Moving parts should be lubricated 3 to 4 times a year to ensure smooth operation, this includes but is not limited to hinges, handles and lifting gear. A qualified engineer must inspect and carry out repairs and replacements as necessary. Do not attempt this yourself as it could be potentially dangerous.
Appearance
During the manufacturing process it is possible that some distortion may occur in the panels. A visual inspection should be carried out in natural daylight, NOT direct sunlight, from a distance of 3 metres to view the overall appearance. Any minor marks or blemishes not seen from this distance will not be covered by warranty.
Finish and cleaning
Factory finished powder coated doors must be freely exposed to washing by rainfall and kept clean of bird dropping, accumulated dirt and debris. Cleaning should be carried out with a soft nonabrasive cloth or sponge and clean water.
The company reserves the right to make alterations in design and manufacture as are deemed necessary without notification.
Please note, our products are not suitable for use as gates on external installations and will not be warrantied as such.
What is not covered:
- General wear and tear over time
- Weathering and fading of the paint finish where it is uniform
- Impact damage, scratches and other surface abrasions
- Damage, corrosion or discolouration caused by contact with an excessively salty atmosphere, abnormal elements within the building or from pollution, chemicals or caustic substances
- Improper installation and or operation
- Damage through improper transportation
- Failure to properly maintain the door and working parts in accordance with the information contained in this brochure
